A new version of the Anti-Bribery Management Systems standard, ISO 37001:2025, has been released. Here are the key points organizations should know:

• Accredited certification under ISO 37001:2025 is not yet available. Accreditation bodies will begin evaluating certification bodies from December, and we will inform clients as soon as audits to the new version can start.
• ISO 37001:2016 remains valid until 28 February 2027. All existing certifications will need to transition to the 2025 version before this deadline.
• Flexible transition options. The upgrade to the new standard can be completed during a recertification, surveillance, or special/extraordinary audit.
• Upcoming restrictions on the 2016 version. After 31 August 2026, certification and recertification audits to ISO 37001:2016 will no longer be permitted. Only surveillance or extraordinary audits will be allowed until the final transition deadline in 2027.
• Dual accreditation logos. ISO 37001 is now recognized under IAF, and all new certificates will display both the IAF and SNAS logos.
